Wine Merchant Top 100

Neil O'Reilly

We’re thrilled to share more exciting news; three of our wines have just been recognised in The Wine Merchant Magazine Top 100. El Coto Crianza, Michele Chiarlo Moscato d’Asti Nivole, and Bodegas La Purísima Monastrell have all earned their place among this prestigious selection.

El Coto Crianza comes from one of Rioja’s largest and most established producers, based in the heart of Rioja Alta in northern Spain. The vineyards sit at altitude on limestone and clay soils, benefiting from a mix of Atlantic and Mediterranean influences that give the region its ideal balance of sun, cool nights and long ripening seasons.
El Coto sources fruit from its own extensive estates as well as trusted growers across Rioja, maintaining consistency and quality year after year.

Michele Chiarlo’s Moscato d’Asti Nivole is produced in the rolling hills of Asti in Piedmont, northern Italy. The Moscato Bianco vines are planted on calcareous and sandy soils, at elevations that capture plenty of sunlight while retaining freshness from cooler nights.
Michele Chiarlo works with estate vineyards and long-term growers in some of the region’s best sites, ensuring purity and consistency in this classic Piedmontese style.

La Purísima Monastrell is produced by the Bodegas La Purísima cooperative in Yecla, Murcia in southeastern Spain. The vineyards sit on the high, arid plateau at around 700 metres above sea level, where old Monastrell vines grow in rocky, limestone-rich soils.
The region’s hot days, cool nights and minimal rainfall create ideal conditions for concentrated, characterful fruit, a style the cooperative has become known for since its founding in 1946.

I couldn’t be happier to see that our wines have been mentioned in such a prestigious list.
